Frequently Asked Questions
For parties under 8 people, you do not need to make a reservation. However,
if you would like to reserve an area for privacy or would like to guarantee a
space for your large group, please fill out our reservation request at least 48
hours in advance and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
The Old Shillelagh is a family-owned business and wants our restaurant to continue being a place for families to gather. Minors are welcome inside the bar during the day but ID-ing often begins on Friday evenings and continues through the weekend. Minors are welcome before most downtown sporting events but will not be allowed entry for post-game parties. Large parties and events will be explicitly 21+. These guidelines are subject to change without notice. Send us a message on Facebook before your arrival if you would like to double check with an employee.

The shuttle bus schedule is available on our Events page. Please note that the schedule is dependent on the availability of our drivers and is subject to change without notice. We do our best to get guests safely to the most popular downtown Detroit venues! The shuttle is complimentary but please bring cash to tip your driver.
